Tracking

BlackBox can help you integrate a tracking solution into your organisation’s existing systems. We have established partnerships with a number of software companies to help you achieve this quickly, effectively and at a realistic price.

For example: you might want to improve your proof of delivery (POD) and require a handheld device (PDA) to capture signatures when goods or services are delivered and transmit this back to the office.

You might want to verify that goods have been transported at the right temperature and integrate this into your overall warehousing application.

You might want to have a more advanced timesheet, driver fatigue and activity application.

These are specifically-customised requirements and BlackBox is able to assist or partner with your IT provider or introduce you to companies who specialise in this field.

Driver ID
With the input of a pin number you can find out who is driving a particular vehicle on a particular day. Drivers also like the automation of time sheets. Driver ID is invaluable as part of a driver-fatigue management system.

Efficiency
Consider a scenario in which a truck headed to the home depot alerts the Operations Manager with sufficient notice to call in casual staff, prepare the next load and have it all timed to turn the vehicle around instantly. Tracking software can enable this to happen without someone watching a vehicle's movements.

Incident Switch
Most BlackBox Recorders can support an Incident Button. This can be programmed to your particular needs but is commonly used to indicate threatening situations or provide a confirmation from the driver of an event. Wireless switch options also available.

Load Monitoring
BlackBox Recorders can be connected to various load monitoring methods. In consultation BlackBox can recommend the right combination for your specific needs.

Recorders
BlackBox Recorders can be combined with:

  • Multitrode depth sensor
  • Ultrasonic level sensors
  • Vacuum sensors
  • Pressure sensors
  • Self-weighing equipment
  • IR Beam sensors

Vehicle Interface
Modern day vehicles can often be interfaced with the BlackBox Can DO. This highly flexible unit can interface with engine management modules in a range of vehicles. Modern day vehicles can often provide useful data such as:

  • Oil Pressure
  • Coolant Temperature
  • Engine RPM
  • Fuel Flow
  • Brake pedal depression

Activity Monitoring
Driver and vehicle activity can be monitored by a number of methods. Typical approaches include interfacing the following with a suitable BlackBox Recorder.

  • Door sensors
  • Fridge/Freezer Temperature sensors
  • Tyre Pressure sensoring
  • Sensors on equipment used on site, stabiliser arms, waste bin lifters, cranes etc
  • RF tags to identify when tractors, mowers etc are away from the vehicle.
  • Solid state Digital Video Recorders.
